Cancellation & Refund Policy

Life shifts. Plans change. This policy explains how reschedules, cancellations and refunds work so there are no surprises when you book a session with Aapka Confidant.

Half the session fee is retained. The rest is refunded within 5–7 business days.

If you miss a session without notice, the full fee is charged.

1. Free reschedule window

You can reschedule or cancel any session up to 4 hours before its start time, at no cost. Use the "Reschedule" option in your dashboard or reply to your booking confirmation email.

2. Late cancellations

Cancellations made within 4 hours of the session are charged a 50% cancellation fee. This helps us respect your therapist's blocked time, since we can rarely fill the slot on short notice.

3. No-shows

If you don't join a session and don't cancel in advance, the full session fee applies. For video and phone sessions, we'll wait for you for 15 minutes before marking the session as a no-show.

4. Therapist cancellations

In the rare case your therapist has to cancel, you'll be offered a free reschedule at a time that works for you, or a full refund — your choice.

5. Technical issues

If a session couldn't happen because of an issue on our side (video failing to connect, platform outage, etc.), we'll help you reschedule at no cost. If you'd prefer a refund instead, write to us and we'll process it.

6. Refund timelines

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. UPI and card refunds typically arrive within 5–7 business days depending on your bank. Netbanking can occasionally take a little longer.

7. Packages and bundles

If you buy a multi-session package, individual sessions still follow the rules above. Unused sessions in a package are refundable pro-rata within 30 days of purchase.

8. How to cancel or reschedule

  1. Open your upcoming sessions.
  2. Choose the session you want to change.
  3. Tap "Reschedule" to pick a new time, or "Cancel" to release the slot.

9. Exceptions

We understand emergencies happen — health issues, bereavement, unavoidable disruptions. If something like that comes up, please write to us. We handle these case by case with care.

This policy is maintained by Aapka Confidant and may be updated as our service evolves. Meaningful changes will be communicated in-app or by email before they take effect.
