Terms of Service
These terms are maintained by Aapka Confidant and describe the ground rules for using our website, member portal and sessions. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
1. Who we are
Aapka Confidant is a service that connects you with licensed mental-health professionals for therapy, coaching, couples work and self-guided assessments. Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Aapka Confidant; "you" means the person using the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book sessions on your own. Minors may be supported with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian. If you're in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, our service is not a substitute for emergency care — please contact local emergency services or a helpline immediately.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the information you share when signing up and for keeping your login secure. Please share accurate details so your therapist can support you well. You can update or delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
4. Sessions and clinical scope
Sessions are private conversations between you and your practitioner. Practitioners on Aapka Confidant work within their trained modalities and scope of practice. They may refer you to a specialist, psychiatrist or in-person clinic if that would serve you better.
Sessions are not a replacement for emergency care, in-patient treatment or medication management by a psychiatrist.
5. Payments
Session fees, taxes and any applicable charges are shown before you confirm a booking. Payments are processed through secure payment partners. We don't store your full card details on our servers.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, reschedules and refunds are handled under our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Please review it before booking.
7. Your content
Anything you share during sessions or via intake notes belongs to you. We only use it to deliver the service, to help your practitioner prepare, and to keep clinical records as required. See our Privacy Policy for how this information is handled and stored.
8. Respectful use
Please treat practitioners and support staff with kindness. Threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour, recording sessions without consent, or attempting to disrupt the service may lead to a session being ended and, in serious cases, your account being closed.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep the service running smoothly, but we can't promise uninterrupted access. Occasionally we may need to pause or update features for maintenance, and rare technical issues may affect a session — if that happens, we'll help you reschedule at no cost.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our service evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, let you know in-app or by email before they take effect.
11. Contact

12. Consent forms
We also ask every client and practitioner to acknowledge our consent and conduct agreements:
