Clinical Governance

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Everything we do is shaped by one question: is this safe, ethical, and in the best interest of the person seeking care?

Practitioner verification

Every therapist and psychiatrist on our platform is required to submit proof of qualification, registration with a recognised professional body, and relevant experience. Our clinical team reviews each application before an expert can begin seeing clients.

Ongoing supervision

We encourage and, where appropriate, require practitioners to engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing education. This helps maintain high standards and supports practitioner wellbeing.

Scope of practice

Practitioners work within their training and competence. If a client's needs fall outside that scope — for example, requiring emergency or in-patient care — we support referral to the right service.

Confidentiality and records

Session notes and client information are handled in line with professional ethics and applicable law. Access is limited to those directly involved in delivering care.

Feedback and complaints

We take feedback seriously. Clients can share concerns through their dashboard or by emailing care@aapkaconfidant.com. Clinical concerns are reviewed by our advisory board.
